For all of you following the Sgt. Shammar Thomas story - this link is a must see.
I hope you all enjoy the views. I didn't capture the true beauty that was given to me but, I did the best to share with my friends and much help from my friends. Love you all!
Here’s another of my favorites, tonight’s dinner actually, well, last night’s anyway, another of my favorites for a dark and dreary and rainy night, my Potato Soup Supreme. Easy to whip up, easy to chow down, and not just for breakfast any more! *grin*! C …
Chilly fall evenings are a fine time for a spicy bowl of chili. And if it can be thrown together with minimal fuss and time, all the better. Because while I love a slowly simmered soup or chili, my life rarely has room for such luxuries.
A friend sent me these words of wisdom . . . . . . . !. "Reality is only an illusion that occurs due to lack of alcohol." 2.
You state that he has done a great job with the mess he was left and with the antics of the GOP. Unemployment, decreases in GDP, etc. did not nosedive until AFTER President Obama's administration was sworn in. Even if you assume that this is just the delayed effects of Bush policies, everyone agrees that his handling of the crisis has been hamfisted. New administration? Sure and I am sure they will get better at the job. But can you HONESTLY say that the administration's first 100 days have been "A" work?
Also, as for the "GOP antics," exactly what antics are you talking about? If you haven't noticed, the electorate has thrown the bums out and put in Democrates. The Democratic party controls the House, Senate, and the White House. With the recent switch of Sen. Spectre, they will not only have a majority, the Democrates will have a filibuster proof majority.
Personally, I think a strong opposition party is necessary as a check to the overweaning ambitions of the ruling party. Remember the whole "Checks and balances" thing the Constitution and founding fathers tried to establish?
I do not know how old you are but the bill for the current government expansion is going to come due just about the time I am ready to retire (or at least had hoped to retire). There is no such thing as a free lunch!
I really enjoyed your posts on LiseEd's article (ha, article), rant, or whatever it was.
I too voted for our President and, while I have some real concerns about the spending and deficits, I am just tickled pink to be living in our country again.
Thanks for your defense of his policies. As tiring as it is confonting the rubbish I am glad that people like you are on the case.
